Important: Our Greenwood Branch Will Close Permanently on December 20

By VerityCU October 23, 2024

Verity Credit Union will be closing its Greenwood branch on December 20, 2024 at 3pm. We have cherished our time in Greenwood, and this decision was not made lightly. We’ve carefully analyzed branch usage patterns, member feedback, and community needs. This decision aligns with our commitment as a Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) and reached after thorough consideration and evaluation.

The banking industry has changed significantly, especially with technological advancements and shifting preferences post-COVID. So, we're enhancing our digital services, making branches easier to reach, and finding new ways to make banking better for our members.

Members are encouraged to visit our nearby branches for continued service:

Wallingford (2.6 miles): 4545 Stone Way N Seattle, WA 98103

Northgate (4.5 miles): 11027 Meridian Ave N., Suite 101, Seattle, WA 98133

Verity assures our members that access to their accounts will remain uninterrupted. Additionally, members will still have access to fee-free ATMs, shared branching locations for face-to-face service, and an enhanced digital banking experience.

We reaffirm our commitment to the Greenwood community, investing in efforts to support local initiatives and organizations that are making a positive impact in Greenwood.

It's important to note that no staff members are losing their jobs due to this transition. We've offered all our staff positions at other branches, so members will still see familiar faces when they visit. Furthermore, Verity remains financially strong and dedicated to meeting the financial needs of its members now and in the future.
