Important: Our Ballard Branch Will Close Permanently on June 14

By VerityCU May 9, 2024

Verity Credit Union will be closing its Ballard branch on June 14, 2024. This decision aligns with our commitment as a Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) and reached after thorough consideration and evaluation.

The banking industry has changed significantly, especially with technological advancements and shifting preferences post-COVID. So, we're enhancing our digital services, making branches easier to reach, and finding new ways to make banking better for our members.

Members are encouraged to visit our nearby branches for continued service:

Wallingford (2.6 miles): 4545 Stone Way Seattle, WA 98103
Greenwood (2.9 miles): 8533 Greenwood Ave N, Seattle, WA 98103

Northgate (4.5 miles): 11027 Meridian Ave N., Suite 101, Seattle, WA 98133

For more information on our branches, including hours and services, visit our website.

Verity assures our members that access to their accounts will remain uninterrupted. Additionally, members will still have access to fee-free ATMs, shared branching locations for face-to-face service, and enhanced digital banking experience.

We reaffirm our commitment to the Ballard community, investing in efforts to support local initiatives and organizations that are making a positive impact in Ballard.

It's important to note that no staff members are losing their jobs due to this transition. We've offered all our staff positions at other branches, so members will still see familiar faces when they visit. Furthermore, Verity remains financially strong and dedicated to meeting the financial needs of its members now and in the future.
