By March 26, 2021 About verity
Attending Verity's annual meeting is not only an opportunity to hear about the state of the credit union—it's an opportunity to speak directly with the decisionmakers at Verity. And we would love to see all of our members there.
Verity's 88th Annual Meeting will be held Wednesday, April 14 at 7:00 p.m. Just like last year, the annual meeting will be held virtually, allowing you to attend from the comfort of your home or wherever you happen to be. Registration is required in order to access the Zoom call-in information (which will be sent the day before the meeting).
The purpose of the annual meeting is to provide an opportunity for members to hear about how the credit union operates, how the previous year affected operations and financials, and elect new members to the board of directors. Having open annual meetings is one example of the democratic operating structure of credit unions. Every member, no matter how much money they have in accounts, has an equal vote in helping select members to the board of directors and supervisory committee, who then guide the direction of the credit union. While this year there are no contested races, attendees of the meeting will still have the opportunity to vote. You can review information about this year's candidates at veritycu.com/annualmeeting.
We look forward to seeing you (virtually) on April 14!
