Today March 31st, is a day we acknowledge as Transgender Day of Visibility. To celebrate, we recognize the accomplishments and strength of the transgender and non-binary community. We celebrate Transgender and non-binary people around the world and acknowledge the determination it takes to live openly and authentically. To this day, many transgender and non-binary people, especially people of color, still face violence and discrimination based on their gender identity and expression.
At Verity, we are aware of the pressure that Trans and non-binary people face to change, conform and prove themselves to others. We support that all Trans and non-binary people are enough just as they are, regardless of orientation, identity or expression. We stand by our vision of cooperative communities who dream boldly, and without the freedom to live openly, we as a society cannot accomplish this.
