Small Business Saturday is coming up and Verity has partnered with Business Impact NW to help encourage people to shop local this holiday season.
Supporting local business is important to Verity because it helps keep local dollars local. But finding the local retailers, especially specialty shops, can sometimes be difficult. Most people know about the locally-owned businesses near their homes or places of work. But, what about small businesses outside of your neighborhood? Or locating businesses that are woman-owned, Black-owned, LGBTQIA-owned, veteran-owned or Asian-owned?
Business Impact NW is making it easy to ensure your dollar stay local with a searchable map and directory. Not only can you find businesses based on their category (like retail), you can also filter the directory listings based on ownership type, allowing you to easily target your local dollars to businesses you want to support.
Check out the directory on Business Impact NW’s website.
Business Impact NW is a non-profit that exists to help small businesses in the greater Seattle area, and specifically those owned by people generally under-represented in business ownership. We have partnered with them for several years and look forward to more years to come.
