The new school year is right around the corner, and Verity is partnering with FamilyWorks to ensure students have the supplies they need to help them succeed in school.
We are collecting new or gently used items at Wallingford's Verity branch until Friday, August 6. FamilyWorks is specifically looking for the following items:
- Backpacks
- Calculators (including graphing)
- Mechanical pencils
- Pens
- Notebooks (spiral and composition)
- Colored pencils
- Markers
- Crayons
- Scissors (ideally small for younger kids)
- Rulers
- Tissue
- Hand sanitizer
- Folders
- Glue (including gluesticks)
- Highlighters
- Index cards
- Lunchboxes
If you are unable to bring your donations to the branch, you can also contact FamilyWorks to schedule a pick up. Email Edsel Blanche, Family Resource Manager, at edselb@familyworksseattle.org.
