June Celebrations, Heritage & Community Events

By VerityCU June 6, 2025

June is a month filled with vibrant celebrations that highlight diversity, equality, and community empowerment. From Pride Month to Immigrant Heritage Month, and community events across the region, there are many opportunities to connect, learn, and celebrate together.

Month-long Observances & Celebrations

Pride Month

Pride Month is a vibrant and inclusive celebration that honors the LGBTQIA+ community, their history, achievements, and ongoing fight for equality. It’s a joyful and colorful display of love, unity, and resilience, bringing individuals and communities together to promote acceptance, amplify LGBTQIA+ voices, and celebrate progress toward a more inclusive world.

As a certified Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI), Verity Credit Union is rooted in equity, inclusion, and community empowerment. We recognize that LGBTQ+ individuals—especially those at the intersections of multiple marginalized identities—have faced historic exclusion from traditional financial systems.

At Verity, we believe in creating a world where everyone can thrive. That means actively breaking down financial barriers, providing inclusive services, and fostering meaningful relationships built on trust, respect, and authenticity. We invite you to join us as we celebrate with pride!
