What is National Small Business Week?
For more than 60 years, the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) has celebrated National Small Business Week (NSBW) to honor the critical contributions of entrepreneurs and small business owners across the country. In 2025, National Small Business Week runs from May 4–10, with opportunities to learn, connect, and get inspired. This year’s theme is celebrating resilience, ingenuity, and the power of community-driven business.

Celebrate locally: Rainier Beach Walk the Block Party – Saturday, May 24
Rainer Beach Community Center | 11 AM – 6 PM PT
This fun, free event brings together residents, artists, vendors, and entrepreneurs for a day of music, food, live performances, kid-friendly activities, and a vibrant farmers market. Hosted by the Rainier Beach Action Coalition this event is a chance to connect with Seattle’s small business community in a meaningful way.
