Rainier Sweepstakes & Official Rules

Verity is celebrating the opening of our new Rainier branch with community events across Rainier and South Seattle. Eligible attendees can receive one entry at each qualifying event, up to six total entries during the promotion period.

NO PURCHASE, MEMBERSHIP, ACCOUNT OPENING, LOAN APPLICATION, OR OTHER FINANCIAL TRANSACTION IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE OR FINANCIAL TRANSACTION WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING.  

Sponsor  

The Rainier Grand Opening Sweepstakes ("Sweepstakes") is sponsored by Verity Credit Union ("Sponsor"), 11027 Meridian Ave N #102 Seattle, WA.  

Sweepstakes Period  

The Sweepstakes begins at 12:01 a.m. Pacific Time on July 24, 2026 and ends at 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time on October 17, 2026 ("Promotion Period").  

Eligibility  

The Sweepstakes is open to legal residents of the United States who are at least eighteen (18) years of age at the time of entry and who attend a qualifying Rainier Grand Opening event or submit a valid Alternate Method of Entry during the Promotion Period.  

• The following individuals are not eligible to participate:  
• Employees of Verity Credit Union  
• Members of Verity Credit Union's Board of Directors  
• Members of the Supervisory Committee  
• Volunteers  
• Immediate family members (spouse, domestic partner, parent, child, sibling, grandparent, grandchild, in-law, whether biological, adopted, step, or foster)  
• Individuals residing in the same household as any of the above  

Void where prohibited by law.  

How to Enter  

Participants may receive one (1) entry for each qualifying Rainier Grand Opening event attended during the Promotion Period, up to a maximum of six (6) event entries.  

Only one entry may be earned per qualifying event, regardless of the number of times a participant attends or checks in during that event.  

Attendance may be verified through Sponsor's official event registration or check-in process.  

Alternate Method of Entry (AMOE)  

To enter without attending a qualifying event, hand print your full name, mailing address, city, state, ZIP code, daytime telephone number, email address, and for which qualifying event the entry corresponds on a 3" x 5" card and mail it in a sealed envelope to:

Only one (1) Alternate Method of Entry may be submitted for each qualifying event. Participants may not receive both an event attendance entry and an Alternate Method of Entry for the same qualifying event. Each Alternate Method of Entry must be postmarked no later than the final day of the applicable qualifying event and received no later than five (5) business days following the close of the Promotion Period. Mechanically reproduced, photocopied, illegible, incomplete, or bulk-mailed entries are void.  

Alternate Method of Entry submissions receive the same odds of winning as entries earned through attendance at qualifying events.  

Entry Limits  

• Maximum one (1) entry per qualifying event.  
• Maximum six (6) total entries per participant during the Promotion Period.  
• Duplicate, automated, fraudulent, incomplete, illegible, or altered entries are void.  
• Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any participant who attempts to exceed entry limits or manipulate the Sweepstakes.  

Prize  

Two (2) Grand Prizes: $2500 Cash  

Approximate Total Retail Value (ARV): $5000  

No substitution, transfer, or assignment of prize is permitted except by Sponsor, who reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value if necessary.  

Complimentary Promotional Items  

Certain qualifying events may include complimentary food, beverages, or other promotional items offered by Sponsor while supplies or promotional funds last. Availability of complimentary items is limited and not guaranteed. The availability or receipt of any complimentary item has no effect on an individual's eligibility to receive a sweepstakes entry, the number of entries received, or the odds of winning. Attendance at a qualifying event remains eligible for one (1) sweepstakes entry even if complimentary items are no longer available.  

Winner Selection  

Two (2) Grand Prize winners will be selected in a random drawing from all eligible entries received during the Promotion Period.  

The drawing will occur on or about October 22, 2026.  

Odds of winning depend upon the total number of eligible entries received.  

Winner Notification  

Potential winners will be contacted using the contact information provided during registration. If the winner cannot be contacted, fails to respond within seven (7) calendar days after Sponsor's first attempted notification, is found to be ineligible, declines the prize, or fails to complete required documentation, sponsor may select an alternate winner by random drawing.  

Taxes  

Winner is solely responsible for all applicable federal, state, and local taxes. If required by law, Sponsor will collect a completed IRS Form W-9 and issue the appropriate IRS tax reporting form.  

Publicity  

Except where prohibited by law, acceptance of a prize constitutes permission for Sponsor to use the winner's name, city, state, likeness, photograph, and statements for promotional purposes without additional compensation.  

Privacy  

Information collected in connection with the Sweepstakes will be used to administer the Sweepstakes. Participants will not be added to marketing communications unless they separately provide consent. Information will be handled in accordance with Verity Credit Union's Privacy Policy.  

General Conditions  

Sponsor reserves the right to cancel, suspend, modify, or terminate the Sweepstakes if fraud, technical failures, or any other factor impairs the integrity of the Sweepstakes. Sponsor's decisions regarding all matters relating to the Sweepstakes are final.  

Limitation of Liability  

By participating, entrants agree to release and hold harmless Sponsor and its directors, officers, employees, volunteers, affiliates, agents, and representatives from any liability arising from participation in the Sweepstakes or acceptance or use of any prize, except where prohibited by law.  

Disputes  

Except where prohibited, participants agree that: all disputes shall be resolved individually and not as part of a class action; any claims shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs associated with entering the Sweepstakes; and participants waive any claim for punitive, incidental, consequential, or other damages except where prohibited by applicable law. Washington law shall govern these Official Rules without regard to conflict of law principles.

Requests must be received within sixty (60) days after the winner is confirmed.  

Official Rules  

Participation constitutes entrant's full and unconditional agreement to these Official Rules and Sponsor's decisions, which are final and binding in all matters relating to this Sweepstakes.
