On Saturday, September 22, head to Green Lake Park to say goodbye to summer and welcome autumn with an annual illuminated celebration presented by the Fremont Arts Council. Stroll around the lake and take in the glowing artwork, colorful costumes and live performances.
All State Parks in Washington will be free to enter on September 22 to celebrate National Public Lands Day. Visit parks.state.wa.us for a full list of parks, which you can sort by region.

On Saturday, September 22, visit a museum near you for free! Museum Day is a one-day event in which participating institutions provide free entry to anyone with a Museum Day ticket. There are 37 museums around the state that are participating this year. Get your tickets on the Smithsonian website.
The Brew at the Zoo beer-tasting event is October 4 at the Woodland Park Zoo. The event includes sampling beer and ciders from 50+ breweries and animal encounters. Note: This is a 21+ event.
On Thursday, October 25, Verity is sponsoring Beers and Bluegrass at Naked City Brewery in Greenwood. From 7:00-10:00 p.m., enjoy delicious brews and performances by Tangletown String Band and Right As Rain. This event is a fundraiser to benefit the Phinney Neighborhood Association's Hot Meal Program.
Mark your calendars for Green Seattle Day on Saturday, November 3. Join hundreds of volunteers planting thousands of plants in 15 parks around the city. All ages are welcome to participate and no experience is necessary. Have a hand in planting Seattle's future forest!
The Phinney Farmers Market is open Friday afternoons from June to October. You will find fresh fruits, vegetables, dairy products, meat and seafood along with other prepared artisan foods.
Have you ever wanted to attend a concert on a boat? Dryft is hosting several concerts this summer aboard the S.S. Virginia V steamship, which is docked in South Lake Union.
