THE WHOLE BOLIVIAN ARMY
The Whole Bolivian Army is a long-time Seattle-area band, entertaining crowds for decades with their alternative and modern rock sound. The group was formed in 1993, and while some band members have left over the years, original founding members Matt Kite (guitar) and Mary Beth Kite (vocals) have continued to build upon the band’s early success in the grunge era. The foursome now includes friend Delia Gable (bass) and Gibson Kite (drums), the son of Mary Beth and Matt.
The band has released 12 albums, plus several compilations, and has performed at many well-known Seattle-area venues with a variety of notable Pacific Northwest musicians. The Whole Bolivian Army also runs its own label, Gargantuan Records, and plays an active role in the Northwest music community in supporting other area musicians and social initiatives.
The Whole Bolivian Army joined Verity’s list of featured musicians in 2018, writing a song about community. Their original song can be heard in Verity radio and video ads, and Mike’s Gretsch guitar is featured in our TV commercials.
