Lanny Bergner is a mixed-media sculptor, installation, fiber and sculptural basketry artist from Northwestern Washington. He specializes in creating screens and sculptures using industrially woven metal mesh and other semi-transparent materials. He also uses pyrography techniques to "flame paint" abstract imagery using a propane torch. He has been creating biomorphic and geometric construction since 1983 and works out of a studio on Fidalgo Island near Anacortes, WA.
Lanny partnered with Verity in 2018 and was commissioned to create an original piece featuring Verity's brand colors of orange and blue. Using mesh screen, he created a five-panel piece featuring his "flame paint" technique. The hanging installation can be seen at Verity's headquarters in the main lobby.
