Champagne Honeybee creates a unique sound, mixing contemporary, jazz, blues, folk and, most notably, ukulele soul. The group is fronted by singer/songwriter Rani Weatherby and her trusty ukuleles. Rani, who was born in India and raised in Washington, started playing piano at age six . She performed in jazz and chamber choirs throughout high school and college. But it wasn’t until 2011 that she discovered the ukulele and her unique sound.
Champagne Honeybee released its first EP of original music, “No Love Songs,” in 2014, and have been performing around the Pacific Northwest and the U.S. ever since.
Champagne Honeybee joined Verity’s list of featured musicians in 2018, writing a song about community.
