Board of Director Candidates
The following four nominees will be on the ballot to fill the four open positions on the Board of Directors for Verity Credit Union.
The 87th Annual Meeting will be held Wednesday, April 15, 2020 at 7:00 p.m. at Verity Credit Union headquarters.
Eric Esteban has been a Verity member for almost three years. He served as a board associate for one year and a member of the Supervisory Committee for almost two years. Eric has an MBA from Seattle University and a BS in industrial engineering from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. He is currently a product owner in the IT department at Costco Travel and volunteers through Food Lifeline, Seattle International Film Festival and the Forgotten Children's Fund.
Nick Etscheid has served as a board associate on the Finance and Technology committees for Verity since 2019. He earned a bachelor's degree in finance from the University of Washington and currently manages international real eastate expansions at Amazon Web Services. Nick also volunteers with the Queen Anne Chamber of Commerce.
Michael Grenetz has been a board associate since 2017 and serves on the Experience and Governance committees. He has a BA in religious studies from Vassar College and currently works at Microsoft in Cybersecurity product marketing. Before moving into the technology sector, Michael spent most of his career working with nonprofits and conservation organziations, including Sierra Club and the Washington Toxics Coalition.
Michelle Pham joined Verity Credit Union as a board associate in 2019 and immediately started serving on the Experience adn Finance committees. Michelle earned a BA in psychology and art history from the University of Washington and a JD from Seattle University School of Law. She is an attorney at Seattle-based firm Helsell Fetterman LLP, and practices intellectual property law and commercial litigation. In her spare time, she coaches UW Law's national mock trial team.
Supervisory Committee Candidates
The following nominees will be on the ballot for the open positions on the Supervisory Committee for Verity Credit Union.
Vikash Chhagan has been a member of Verity Credit Union since 1997 and has been a board associate since 2019. He currently serves on the Governance and Supervisory committees. Vikash has a BA, cum laude, in government and politics from the University of Texas - Dallas, and a JD from Southern Methodist University School of Law. For 25 years, he has served as a litigator, supervisor, and executive in the federal government.
Karen Hunt has been a Verity member since 1974. She is a graduate of University of Washington with a BS in institutional adminstration. While Karen is technically retired from Holland America, she works full time each summer at the cruise ship terminal at Pier 91 in Seattle. Karen volunteers making quilts for Mary's Place and Compass Center.
